I’m Peggy Sofley and have been with and around animals all my life. I started riding at the age of 5 and had my first dog when I was 10. As a teenager I had a go at amateur flat racing and eventing. At present I ride and compete my two Arabs, Blossom and Muhaymin. I love Endurance riding and anything to do with the sport, and have competed at Le Trec.
The combination of the love for animals and the fascination for the effectiveness of spinal manipulation led me to my career. The idea of being able to give animals the chance to be without pain when performing their daily tasks has given me the inspiration to become a McTimoney Animal Manipulator. I qualified from the McTimoney College for Chiropractic in Abington in 2000.
Chiropractic is a protected title, and used in conjunction with human treatment only. Please note, I am not an Animal Chiropractor.
In a tireless endeavour to find more ways to correct and prevent musculo-skeletal problems, I also hold an advanced qualification in Equine Sports Massage. This very effective treatment approaches a problem from an entirely different angle, however it complements the McTimoney treatment very successfully.

In this capacity I have had the great opportunity of treating under competition conditions. As a member of the British Endurance Team, I went to the World Equestrian Games in Aachen, in 2006. Treating and monitoring a horse, during conditioning, preparation and whilst competing at such a prestigious event has given me invaluable experience and confirmed once more, how important the work is, that I and many other therapists do.
I am a Member of the McTimoney Animal Association and the International Equine Body Worker Association and hold full indemnity insurance and are current with post graduate education requirements for both institutions.

Angie O'Brien, IIHHT,FICHT, ITEC. Diploma in Equine Sports Massage,Member of ESMA, FHT Phone: 07917 668507
My name is Angie O'Brien. I presently work full time in the complementary field. Treating humans and animals, I qualified as a Holistic Therapist in 2001 and I specialise in Sports Massage. In 2002, I followed on with a ITEC Diploma in Equine Sports Massage, training with the well respected Mary Bromiley. I am fortunate to have been able to gain experience working alongside some very reputable equine practitioners in the racing industry from all around the world.
Majority of my work is injury related, both human and equine, but mainly with Thoroughbred and Arabian injured race horses, but have clients in all equine disciplines.
I am a practitioner of Electrotherapy, offering low level laser, neuro-muscle stimulation, magnetic therapy and tens.
In 2004 I was fortunate to accompany the British Endurance Intermediate Team in France.
I am humbled in the work that I do and the biggest reward is the psychological effect the treatment has on the horses, which in turn appears to enhance their recovery from injury.
In my free time, I enjoy being with my Arab Mare and competing her in Le Trec competiitons all over the UK.
